Description
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction and planning through execution, closeout, and handover.
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, and cost forecasts.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Monitor project progress against established schedules, budgets, and quality requirements.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, scope reviews, contract administration, and performance.
- Identify project risks, resolve issues, and implement solutions to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and internal teams.
- Oversee quality assurance, site safety, and compliance with applicable building codes and regulations.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, financial reporting, and progress updates.
- Work closely with Superintendents and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
- Manage project closeout activities and ensure successful client handover.
Profile
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within commercial construction.
- Demonstrated ability to manage construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction budgeting, scheduling, cost control, and procurement.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and clients.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Understanding of construction contracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittal processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with construction management software, such as Procore, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
