Description

Public Works Project ManagerOversee multiple heavy civil projects including roadway, utilities, grading, and site development. Drive project delivery from planning through execution, ensuring schedule and budget adherence. Lead scheduling, resource planning, and coordination across project teams. Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on track. Manage project financials including budgets, forecasts, and cost control strategies. Review billing processes and maximize project profitability. Interpret and administer contracts, plans, and government specifications. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Act as the primary liaison for clients, municipalities, and public agencies. Build strong client relationships to support repeat business and growth. Lead meetings, presentations, and stakeholder communications. Experience delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods and sequencing. Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Knowledge of public contracts, compliance, and regulatory standards. Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools. A strong background in managing construction projects in the public works or utility sectors. Proficiency in project management tools and software. Knowledge of DOT regulations and standards. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
