Description
Oversee multiple heavy civil projects including roadway, utilities, grading, and site development
Drive project delivery from planning through execution, ensuring schedule and budget adherence
Lead scheduling, resource planning, and coordination across project teams
Identify risks early and implement solutions to keep projects on track
Manage project financials including budgets, forecasts, and cost control strategies
Review billing processes and maximise project profitability
Interpret and administer contracts, plans, and government specifications
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Act as the primary liaison for clients, municipalities, and public agencies
Build strong client relationships to support repeat business and growth
Lead meetings, presentations, and stakeholder communications
Leverage tools like Primavera P6, MS Project, and project tracking systems for reporting and performance

Profile
A successful Public Works / Utility / DOT PM should have:
3+ years managing public-sector construction projects
3+ years building and managing project schedules
Experience delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of heavy civil construction methods and sequencing
Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
Knowledge of public contracts, compliance, and regulatory standards
Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar tools
A strong background in managing construction projects in the public works or utility sectors.
Proficiency in project management tools and software.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and standards.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions under pressure.
Familiarity with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
