Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor or subcontractor.
- Proven experience managing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, estimating, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and project controls.
- Experience with project management and scheduling software such as Procore, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong financial acumen with experience managing project budgets, forecasting, and cost reporting.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong client and subcontractor relationships.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented construction environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage one or more commercial construction projects through all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary liaison between owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
- Review contract documents and oversee project buyout, subcontract negotiations, procurement, and purchasing activities.
- Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, cost controls, monthly billings, and financial reporting.
- Prepare, negotiate, and administer change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation.
- Collaborate with field leadership to develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing plans, and milestone tracking.
- Coordinate material procurement and ensure timely delivery of critical equipment and supplies.
- Lead project meetings, including owner, architect, subcontractor, and coordination meetings.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, contract requirements, and applicable building codes.
- Oversee implementation of project QA/QC programs, inspections, punch lists, closeout documentation, warranties, and owner turnover.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies while ensuring compliance with all jobsite safety requirements.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve project issues.
- Mentor, develop, and provide leadership to Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, and other project staff.
- Foster strong customer relationships while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction throughout the project.
