Project Manager - Commercial Construction

A growing commercial construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multiple concurrent projects ranging from $1M–$12M. This organization places a strong emphasis on developing people, disciplined planning, and delivering high-quality projects through proactive leadership.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who values structure, accountability, and team development, not someone who simply reacts to problems.

Key Responsibilities

1.     Establish clear project objectives and performance standards, prioritizing proactive planning over reactive fire-fighting.

2.      Direct project teams, subcontractors, and field staff through structured pre-planning and milestone tracking to minimize delays.

3.      Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants, fostering alignment, trust, and transparent communication.

4.      Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration to ensure projects remain profitable while maintaining strong partner relationships.

5.      Work closely with Superintendents to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

6.      Support and develop team members, contributing to long-term talent growth within the organization.

Qualifications

1.      Builder Mindset: A strong desire to develop people, processes, and long-term project success.

2.      Technical Expertise: Proficiency with Procore and CPM scheduling tools such as MS Project or Suretrak.

3.      Education & Experience: Degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience with a commercial General Contractor.

4.      Communication Skills: Ability to interpret contract documents and translate them into clear, actionable execution plans.
