Project Manager Commercial Drywall

Open Position: Project Manager

Barber Specialties, Inc. seeks enthusiastic, motivated industry leaders with coachable attitudes.

The Project Manager will work from our Seagoville, Texas office and may require visits to various job site locations throughout the DFW metroplex dependent upon individual project requirements. The project manager is responsible for planning, supervising, budgeting, coordinating, and timely completion.

Project Manager Responsibilities: Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple drywall construction projects; coordinating project schedules; identifying and acquiring materials; timely invoicing and processing change orders; assisting field supervisors in the early identification and resolution of on-site field issues to prevent schedule delays and avert negative cost impacts; Reviewing scope of work and invoicing from suppliers. Ensuring completed work complies with contract documents and company quality standards; Conducting and participating in on-site meetings and inspections as required.

Requirements: The preferred candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in Commercial

Drywall construction as a Project Manager/ Estimator. Experience with a variety of construction methods is a plus. Prior experience with tilt wall construction, healthcare, office buildings, and industrial facilities preferred. Proven record of success in completing projects on time and within budget. Ability to develop and update project schedules and budgets. Ability to read and understand blueprints/drawings and relevant contract documents. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Superb time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using a personal computer and software programs; Quickbid Proficiency & On-Screen Takeoff. Knowledge of other programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook, ProCore, and Plangrid, WinBid, Plexxis preferred.
