    Description

    Overview

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial electrical construction projects in an electrical subcontractor environment. This is a hands-on leadership role with full ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing project execution, field operations, client relationships, budgets, and schedules. AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client specializing in commercial and industrial electrical construction, including design-build, service, low-voltage, fire alarm, and solar installations. This position is ideal for an experienced project manager with strong field knowledge who can quickly step in and lead multiple active projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee multiple commercial and industrial electrical construction projects from award through final closeout.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and labor forecasts to ensure successful project execution.
    • Lead field supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, engineers, and inspectors throughout each project.
    • Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders to ensure accurate project execution.
    • Monitor project costs, prepare financial forecasts, and implement corrective actions to maintain profitability.
    • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on schedule, progress, risks, and financial performance.
    • Resolve field issues, coordinate design clarifications, and support successful commissioning and project turnover.
    • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, contract requirements, and company quality standards.

    Requirements
    • 5+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction.
    • Strong field experience with commercial electrical installations and construction operations.
    • Valid Connecticut electrical license is required.
    • Experience working for an electrical contractor or electrical subcontractor is strongly preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
    • Proficiency with construction project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
    • Must have direct ownership of commercial electrical projects from start to finish, not solely project coordination experience.
    • Ability to start within the next month is highly preferred.

    Benefits
    • Compensation: $100,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience.
    • Benefits include a 401(k), with additional benefits and program details to be discussed during the interview process.
