We are looking for a Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial electrical construction projects in an electrical subcontractor environment, taking full ownership from project kickoff through closeout. AlphaHire is recruiting on behalf of a client with a long-standing reputation for delivering commercial electrical installations, tenant improvements, service work, and industrial projects. This role is responsible for driving project execution, financial performance, and client satisfaction while working closely with field leadership and internal teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities
Oversee multiple commercial electrical construction projects from contract award through final completion.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, and forecasting.
Lead project meetings with clients, field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors to keep work progressing on schedule.
Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders to ensure successful execution.
Track project costs, labor productivity, material procurement, and financial performance throughout each project.
Manage RFIs, submittals, change order pricing, and project documentation.
Support field teams by resolving project issues and maintaining communication between office and job sites.
Build and maintain strong client relationships while ensuring quality, safety, and contract compliance.
Requirements
5+ years of experience managing commercial electrical construction projects.
Experience working for an electrical contractor or electrical subcontractor is required.
Proven experience managing commercial, industrial, or institutional electrical projects.
Strong understanding of electrical construction drawings, specifications, and project contracts.
Experience with project management software and Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage project financials, schedules, subcontractors, and client communications independently.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced construction environment.
Residential-only electrical project management experience will not be sufficient.
