Project Manager - Commercial Interiors
Our client is a well-established Commercial Interiors General Contractor with a strong presence across Brooklyn and New York City. Known for delivering high-quality workplace fit-outs, corporate interiors, retail spaces, hospitality renovations, and tenant improvement projects, they have built lasting relationships with clients through exceptional project execution, collaborative delivery, and a commitment to quality.
Job Description
Manage multiple commercial interiors projects from award through completion.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal project teams.
Lead client meetings and provide regular project updates.
Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Work closely with Superintendents to manage field operations and construction activities.
Monitor project costs and identify opportunities for value engineering.
Maintain quality control standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Support project closeout, punch list completion, and turnover processes.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Project Manager - Commercial Interiors should have:
5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor.
Proven experience managing commercial interiors, tenant fit-outs, or renovation projects.
Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and project controls.
Experience working on projects throughout Brooklyn and the New York City market.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline is advantageous.
