We are a trusted, established leader in the material handling and warehouse optimization industry with over 40 years of proven expertise. Since 1984, we have been helping businesses across diverse sectors — from warehouses and distribution centers to supermarkets, high-rise residential buildings, correctional facilities, healthcare, education, and commercial operations — solve their toughest storage, movement, and inventory challenges. We specialize in the custom design, engineering, supply, and full installation of complete inventory handling systems, including pallet racking, industrial shelving, roller and belt conveyor systems, mezzanines, dock equipment, material handling carts, pallet trucks, and more. Whether clients are relocating, expanding, upgrading existing space, or simply striving to maximize every square foot of their facility while minimizing downtime, we deliver practical, high-value solutions that combine new equipment with carefully selected high-quality used options. Our hands-on approach, executive-level oversight on every project, and commitment to outstanding customer satisfaction have made us a go-to partner for organizations that demand efficiency, reliability, and results.

We are currently seeking a Project Manager / Design Manager to join our team in a full-time, in-house role based in our Goshen, NY area operations. This pivotal position acts as the essential bridge between our sales team and clients once a project is secured. You will take full ownership of transforming client requirements into highly optimized, functional warehouse and storage layouts — developing precise designs that include aisle spacing, pallet positions, rack configurations, conveyor placements, and overall space utilization. The role blends technical design work, meticulous project coordination, and clear, proactive communication to ensure every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the client's complete satisfaction. We provide comprehensive training on our processes, tools, and industry-specific design practices, making this an outstanding opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional looking to build or advance a rewarding career in the material handling and logistics sector. No prior industry experience is required — we value strong organizational skills, a practical mindset, and a genuine passion for problem-solving above all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed and accurate warehouse layouts, including aisle spacing, pallet positions, rack configurations, conveyor systems, mezzanines, and comprehensive space optimization plans.
  • Review and interpret client needs, site constraints, and project specifications to develop effective design proposals and technical drawings.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients after the sale, providing clear, timely, and professional communication throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team, estimating/engineering staff, installation crews, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution from design through completion.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, resources, and budgets to keep initiatives on schedule and within scope.
  • Prepare, review, and refine technical drawings, layouts, and supporting documentation using industry tools (full training provided).
  • Support permitting processes as needed and ensure all designs meet relevant safety, operational, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct occasional site visits or virtual reviews to validate designs and assist during installation phases.
  • Proactively troubleshoot design or layout challenges and recommend practical, value-driven solutions.
  • Track project progress, maintain detailed documentation, and contribute ideas for improving our design and project management workflows.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the proven ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously without losing focus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities — comfortable engaging professionally with clients, internal teams, and field personnel.
  • Proficiency or quick aptitude to learn design and layout software/tools for creating warehouse and facility plans (comprehensive training provided).
  • Detail-oriented with a practical, solutions-focused approach to spatial planning and problem-solving.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints is considered a strong plus.
  • Previous experience in project management, design, engineering, construction coordination, or a similar role is beneficial but not required — we place high value on attitude, learning agility, and reliability.

Compensation:

  • The base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience, skills, and training needs.

If you are a highly organized professional who thrives on turning client visions into efficient, real-world designs and ensuring projects are executed flawlessly, we encourage you to apply. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, customer-focused company that values quality, integrity, and long-term career development in a dynamic industry.
