T Bailey operates on projects across Washington, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii.Position SummaryT Bailey is seeking a Project Manager to direct, coordinate, and control the execution of assigned projects from planning through completion, ensuring work proceeds safely, on schedule, and within budget while meeting company strategy, commitments, and customer expectations. This position administers project contracts and purchase orders, coordinates workers, materials, and equipment, and monitors production progress to ensure T Bailey continues to meet its contract obligations. This position is forward-facing with customers, serving as the primary link between the company and the owner to ensure schedule and quality requirements are met, and works closely with shop management, engineering, and the project team to keep specifications and requirements aligned. Work is performed primarily in an office setting, with regular travel to job sites, manufacturing facilities, and coatings facilities as needed. This position reports to the Vice President, Director of Operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning and implementation of assigned projects, observing and exercising all company safety policies and proceduresReview contracts and purchase orders from customers and recommend or negotiate changes to protect company interestsAdminister contracts, including reporting with the owner, and confer with shop management to ensure project specifications and requirements are understoodServe as the link between the company and the customer to ensure schedule and quality requirements are met, always representing the company professionallyResolve issues that arise on assigned projects and provide direction and support to the project teamTrack and control schedule and associated costs to achieve on-time, on-budget project completion; define project tasks and resource requirementsApprove expenditures associated with assigned projects and recommend or decide material purchase options and schedulingAnalyze ongoing production results of assigned projects and prepare monthly margin analysis to evaluate projects against budget and scheduleImplement and manage project changes and negotiate change orders with customersAssist in preparing estimates and quotes for customers, and manage the release of drawings from engineering to productionManage the overall fabrication schedule for assigned projects, leveling workforce requirements and ensuring material availability, drawing approvals, and quality checks are complete per project requirementsAnalyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates, consulting with clients, vendors, and construction foremen to resolve issuesAttend organizational and outside training as requested to enhance job skills, and actively support the T Bailey Safety ProgramAdditional duties or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, which may include occasional travel to job sitesQualificationsAbility to establish and maintain collaborative and constructive relationships with coworkers and customersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently within the framework of a team, with a strong customer service mindset and interpersonal skillsAbility to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people to achieve maximum efficiencyStrong problem-solving abilityAbility to read and fully understand blueprints and/or shop drawings, and to recognize and interpret documents such as Health & Safety Plans, contracts, and shop drawingsProficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision, with strong attention to detail and time management skills to meet established deadlinesAbility to maintain high standards for safe, accurate work despite competing deadlines and pressuresAbility to obtain necessary certificationsEducation and ExperienceBachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience assisting, supervising, or managing projectsSubstantial job experience and training may be substituted for a portion of this requirementExperience in a construction or industrial setting preferredPhysical RequirementsWork is performed primarily in an office setting but also may involve time in a variety of other environments and climates, including manufacturing facilities, coatings facilities, and construction job sites. This position requires flexibility of work hours to complete projects as needed, the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 20 lbs occasionally, and the ability to walk up and down stairs multiple times per day.
