Project Manager - Construction - Branford
Our client is a well-established Connecticut General Contractor with expertise in commercial construction, interior renovations, site development, and civil infrastructure projects. As a Project Manager - Construction - Branford, you will be responsible for:
- Managing projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets
- Coordinating owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Overseeing interior renovation and civil/sitework construction activities
- Managing contracts, procurement, and subcontractor buyouts
- Reviewing and processing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Monitoring project costs and preparing financial forecasts
- Leading project meetings and maintaining client communication
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
- Managing project documentation and reporting requirements
- Identifying risks and implementing proactive solutions
- Supporting project turnover and closeout activities
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in construction
- Experience managing both interior construction and civil/site development projects
- Strong understanding of excavation, utilities, grading, drainage, and sitework operations
- Experience with commercial interiors, renovations, or tenant improvements
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and cost control experience
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and structural drawings
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
