Dabri, Inc. is a California-based consulting firm specializing in program and construction management, engineering support, project controls, cost estimating, scheduling, environmental compliance, and QA/QC oversight. Since 2001, we have supported complex public infrastructure and capital improvement programs across education, healthcare, transportation, aviation, and civic facilities. Our team works collaboratively with public agencies and project stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with applicable standards.


Overview:
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and Library is seeking an experienced Project Manager I to oversee the day-to-day execution, timeline, and delivery of facility alterations and sustainability infrastructure projects, including Solar and EV charging projects. The Project Manager will champion the Library's interests while coordinating with the project team and Library staff, identify project risks, troubleshoot and resolve problems, and help ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution, timeline, and delivery of facility alterations and sustainability infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams and Library staff throughout project delivery.
  • Champion the Library's interests during all phases of the project.
  • Identify project risks, troubleshoot issues, and resolve problems.
  • Develop and control project scope.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets.
  • Develop and review project schedules.
  • Review and coordinate the preparation of construction documents.
  • Facilitate project team and client meetings.
  • Negotiate and prepare change orders.
  • Monitor and coordinate construction activities with project stakeholders.
  • Set and manage project expectations.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum five (5) years (PM I) of project management and concurrent field construction experience.
  • Minimum five (5) years (PM I) of progressive experience managing municipal infrastructure projects through planning, design, jurisdictional approvals, environmental permitting, construction, and close-out.
  • Licensed Professional or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).
  • Educational background in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Work experience in project planning and development.
  • Ability to independently manage all aspects of a project.
  • Must be knowledgeable in CEQA/NEPA.

Desirable Experience
  • Job Order Contracting (JOC) project delivery.
  • Design-Bid-Build project delivery.
  • Deferred Maintenance/Refurbishment projects.
  • Knowledge of Public Contracting Code and practices.
