Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan
Our client is a premier luxury residential General Contractor with a reputation for delivering some of Manhattan's most prestigious renovation projects. Their portfolio includes custom penthouse build-outs, historic brownstone restorations, duplex combinations, and high-end apartment renovations for discerning homeowners, architects, and interior designers.
As a Project Manager - Construction - Manhattan, you will be responsible for:
- Managing luxury residential renovation projects from inception to completion
- Developing and maintaining project budgets, schedules, and forecasts
- Coordinating architects, designers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Managing procurement, contracts, and project buyouts
- Reviewing and processing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Overseeing custom millwork, cabinetry, stone, metal, and specialty finish packages
- Leading client meetings and providing project updates
- Monitoring project costs and maintaining financial controls
- Collaborating with Superintendents to ensure successful field execution
- Managing project documentation and reporting requirements
- Identifying project risks and implementing proactive solutions
- Overseeing project closeout and punch-list completion
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of Project Management experience in construction
- Extensive experience managing luxury interior renovations
- Proven experience with penthouses, brownstones, duplexes, townhouses, or custom residences
- Strong understanding of high-end finishes and interior construction methods
- Experience managing millwork, cabinetry, stone, lighting, and specialty trades
- Excellent client-facing and communication skills
- Strong budgeting, scheduling, and cost control experience
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities
