Project Manager - Construction / Production Operations
Role Overview
We are hiring a Project Manager to serve as the center of gravity within the production function. This role owns the full picture across all active projects, including client communication, job sequencing, timelines, and outcomes, while working alongside a dedicated team responsible for field execution and subcontractor management.
This is a macro-level role. Rather than managing a single project, you will oversee the full portfolio of active jobs-ensuring every client is informed, every project has a clear next step, and no job stalls without a plan in motion. Client communication sits within this role due to the importance of urgency, clarity, and experienced judgment in handling escalations and expectations.
The Project Manager reports to the Production Lead and works closely with cross-functional partners, serving as the central hub through which all job activity flows. The ideal candidate brings construction knowledge, strong client-facing instincts, and exceptional organizational discipline.

- Own all client communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct initial welcome calls to set expectations, establish rapport, and outline project flow.
- Provide proactive updates at key milestones and follow up after subcontractor work to ensure satisfaction.
- Respond to day-to-day client inquiries while escalating more complex issues appropriately.
- Ensure clients are always informed-eliminating surprises related to delays, scope changes, or missed commitments.
2. Project Ownership & Job Progression
- Oversee job progression across all active projects, ensuring each has defined next steps, timelines, and ownership of action items.
- Manage project sequencing and drive jobs from kickoff through completion and billing.
- Identify stalled projects, resource constraints, or risks early and escalate proactively.
- Maintain accurate, real-time project data within project management systems.
- Monitor budget and margin performance, escalating risks related to scope, timeline, or financial outcomes.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as the central coordination point across project teams, ensuring alignment and accountability.
- Partner with internal team members to confirm project readiness, timely invoicing, and subcontractor engagement.
- Align scheduling, resources, and deliverables to maintain consistent workflow across all projects.
- Act as an escalation point for subcontractor-related issues, representing project priorities and facilitating resolution.
4. Subcontractor Coordination & Scheduling
- Coordinate subcontractor scheduling, scope alignment, site access, and expectations prior to job start.
- Track progress, confirm milestone completion, and communicate updates across stakeholders.
- Support pre-project planning, including pricing coordination where subcontractor input is required.
5. Field Engagement (As Needed)
- Attend job sites for key client interactions, escalations, or milestone events when necessary.
- Represent projects professionally on-site and resolve issues with minimal escalation.
- Provide leadership presence in complex situations requiring coordination or decision-making.
