Job Title: Project Manager - Construction
Location: Tampa Bay Area
Hours: 40.0
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate multiple construction and steel fabrication/erection projects from kickoff through completion
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, subcontractors, field crews, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports
- Review project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Track material procurement, fabrication schedules, and delivery timelines
- Oversee field installation and erection activities to meet quality and safety standards
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Monitor labor productivity, project costs, and overall project performance
- Ensure adherence to OSHA safety standards and company policies
- Resolve project issues and maintain strong customer relationships
- Support estimating, planning, and project closeout activities as needed
Requirements
- 3+ years of project management experience in steel fabrication, steel erection, or general construction
- Strong understanding of structural steel projects, fabrication processes, and construction operations
- Experience managing commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of scheduling software, project tracking systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with budgeting, cost control, and contract management
- OSHA knowledge and commitment to workplace safety
- Experience coordinating fabrication shop operations and field installation teams
- Knowledge of structural steel detailing and erection sequencing
- Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, and general contractors
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to travel to job sites as needed
