Full-Time Project Manager
Department: Radiation Therapy Oncology
Location: 3400 Civic Ctr Blvd
Schedule: M-F Day
Summary:
- The Project Manager within the Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (CPUP), is responsible for leading and managing key strategic initiatives in assigned areas across CPUP and the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS). The Project Manager is tasked with the development of robust project plans that detail scope, specific actions, accountable parties, deliverable timelines, and communication / training specifics for key projects and initiatives both within the team and across the institution. The Project Manager is CPUP's primary liaison with other UPHS entities and is responsible for assigned internal communications, as well as being a key member of the department's team.
Responsibilities:
- Determines scope and size of a project, as well as the requirements for each stage and builds a cohesive project plan with defined tasks and timelines.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates project activities, manages resources and activities and maintains project focus by shifting priorities when necessary.
- Manages systems and operational issues and is prepared to discuss through scheduling appropriate resources and utilizing communication tools.
- Participates in measurement activities, completes reports and provides project plan updates. Delegates project tasks to interns when appropriate.
- Coordinates assigned events. Plans/manages logistics for events, ensures departmental engagement, operates within budgetary guidelines.
- Facilitates CPUP leadership rounds process, organizes, facilitates, and actively contributes to ad-hoc CPUP projects.
- Organizes, facilitates, and actively contributes to standing committees. Contributes to ongoing professional development of other team members.
Credentials:
- Project Management Professional Certification (Preferred)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Bachelor's DegreetHealthcare, Finance, Business Administration, or ManagementtAndt2+ years (Required)
- Master's DegreetHealthcare Management or Business Administration (Preferred)
