Job Description:

Project Manager - Cybersecurity Maturity Program

2-Year Contract | Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Program Manager to lead a large-scale cybersecurity maturity and transformation program within a complex, enterprise environment.

This role will drive the planning, governance, coordination, and delivery of a multi-year program focused on enhancing cybersecurity capabilities, strengthening risk management practices, and improving overall organizational resilience.

You will work cross-functionally with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure successful delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of a multi-stream cybersecurity transformation program
  • Develop and manage an integrated program roadmap and master schedule
  • Establish and run program governance (Steering Committees, reporting, dashboards)
  • Coordinate across internal teams, vendors, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Manage risks, issues, dependencies, and program-level decisions
  • Facilitate SteerCo meetings, working sessions, and stakeholder updates
  • Provide executive reporting, dashboards, and program health updates
  • Ensure alignment of initiatives with strategic objectives and priorities
  • Support procurement, implementation, and transition-to-operations activities
  • Drive organizational change management and stakeholder engagement

Deliverables

  • Program charter, governance framework, and management plan
  • Integrated roadmap, master schedule, and work plan
  • Executive dashboards, reporting, and performance metrics
  • Risk registers, issue logs, and mitigation plans
  • Steering committee materials and decision tracking
  • Vendor coordination and delivery oversight documentation
  • Change requests, scope management, and resource tracking
  • Program closure reports and transition-to-operations documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of program/project management experience in large, complex environments

  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level, multi-workstream programs

  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains, including:

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • Threat detection and response

  • Data protection

  • Endpoint / application security

  • Experience leading formal governance structures (SteerCo, executive reporting)

  • Strong executive stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Experience managing multiple vendors, dependencies, and cross-functional teams

  • Highly proactive with strong risk identification and issue resolution capabilities

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment with competing priorities

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in healthcare, public sector, or other regulated environments
  • Experience supporting cybersecurity transformation programs
  • Familiarity with enterprise security frameworks and maturity models

Contract Details

  • Duration: 2-Year Contract
  • Location: 100% Remote
  • Hours: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
