Title: Project Manager – Data Center Migration Advisory
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 6 months

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a strategic data center migration assessment and advisory engagement supporting a large financial regulatory organization. This individual will oversee project planning, stakeholder coordination, technical and financial workstreams, executive reporting, and delivery of migration strategy recommendations.

This is not a hands-on migration role. The selected candidate will serve as the engagement lead responsible for guiding assessments, managing deliverables, and ensuring successful completion of a comprehensive data center migration planning initiative.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all phases of the advisory engagement from kickoff through final recommendations.
  • Serve as primary liaison between executive stakeholders, technical SMEs, and financial analysts.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Coordinate data center assessments, colocation reviews, and migration planning activities.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of all contract deliverables.
  • Prepare executive briefings, status reports, and governance documentation.
  • Manage scope, budget, and resource coordination throughout the engagement.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT Project Management experience.
  • 5+ years leading enterprise infrastructure, data center, or cloud transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience developing project plans, schedules, risk registers, and executive presentations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience supporting Federal, Financial Services, Banking, or Regulatory organizations.
  • Experience with data center relocations, consolidations, or colocation migrations.
  • Experience with infrastructure modernization programs exceeding $5M.
