Key Responsibilities
Reporting to senior project leadership, the
Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of technically complex design-build projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout.
- Lead pre-construction planning, budgeting, procurement, risk management, and project strategy development.
- Manage project execution to ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to client expectations.
- Oversee contract administration, subcontractor management, change orders, and project financial performance.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and client stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and risk mitigation plans.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and provide regular project updates to leadership and clients.
- Promote best practices in project delivery, safety, quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
Profile
The Successful Applicant
For the
Construction Project Manager role we are seeking:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience.
- Proven experience managing commercial, institutional, public sector, or technically complex facility projects.
- Strong background in mechanical and electrical construction systems.
- Experience with Design-Build and Integrated Project Delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of energy efficiency projects, retro-commissioning, building upgrades, or sustainability-focused construction initiatives.
- Strong understanding of pre-construction services, budgeting, procurement, risk management, scheduling, and contract administration.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Microsoft Project, Premier, or similar platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success managing project financial performance.
- PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
