Project Manager Electrical Construction

Compensation: $130,000 $170,000 per year (DOE)
We are partnering with a leading electrical contractor to hire an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale commercial and healthcare projects in Arizona. This is a direct hire opportunity offering competitive compensation, strong benefits, and long-term career growth.
The ideal candidate has experience managing electrical construction projects with budgets exceeding $10 million. Prior hospital project experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
Manage electrical construction projects with budgets of $10M+
Develop and lead strong project teams while delivering quality work on time and within budget
Drive division profitability through effective execution and financial oversight
Develop and manage project schedules, procurement plans, contracts, and staffing assignments
Manage and mentor approximately 3 direct reports and 10 total team members
Review contractual requirements and ensure compliance with project specifications
Adjust priorities and milestones based on client needs and resource availability
Interface directly with clients to ensure expectations are understood and met
Provide oversight of third-party construction firms
Lead project review processes with emphasis on forecasting and cost control
Manage invoicing per project terms and negotiate change orders
Communicate risks, challenges, and project updates proactively
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in electrical commercial or mixed-use construction
Experience managing large-scale projects ($10M+ budgets required)
Prior hospital construction experience preferred
Strong understanding of electrical power systems and engineering principles
Field experience coordinating with construction management teams
Extensive knowledge of scheduling, bidding, take-offs, change orders, and contracts
Proven ability to manage profitable projects and develop client relationships
Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
Electrical Engineering or Construction Management degree strongly preferred
Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus
