    Description

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Asphalt and Concrete Project Manager to oversee all phases of paving and concrete construction projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in civil construction with an emphasis on asphalt and concrete work, excellent project management skills, and the ability to manage crews, subcontractors, budgets, and schedules effectively.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, coordinate, and manage all aspects of asphalt and concrete projects.

    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

    • Create and manage project budgets, schedules, and timelines.

    • Coordinate work between field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

    • Monitor job sites to ensure quality control, safety, and compliance with local codes and regulations.

    • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and resolve issues.

    • Perform job costing and prepare change orders as necessary.

    • Conduct pre-construction and progress meetings with stakeholders.

    • Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and permits.

    • Supervise site foremen and ensure optimal crew productivity and performance.

    • Handle project close-out procedures including final inspections and punch lists.


    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in asphalt, concrete, or civil construction project management.

    • Proven experience managing multiple paving and/or flatwork projects simultaneously.

    • Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and equipment.

    • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Buildertrend) and MS Office Suite.

    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications.

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

    • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).


    Work Environment:

    • Majority of work is performed on construction sites with exposure to outdoor elements and jobsite hazards.

    • Must be able to walk on uneven ground, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditions.

    • Occasional office work required for planning, reporting, and meetings.
