Trak group is partnering with a growing client seeking an experienced Project Manager to independently lead business continuity and cross-functional projects from planning through execution. This role will partner closely with Brand Marketing, R&D, and business leadership to define project scope, develop schedules, manage risks, and ensure projects meet timing, cost, quality, and budget objectives.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized project leader with strong scheduling, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills who can keep complex initiatives moving forward in a stage-gate environment.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead Business Continuity Plan (BCP) projects of varying complexity.
- Lead project planning sessions to establish scope, deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain standardized project timelines and project networks.
- Build detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
- Manage project schedules with a strong focus on critical-path activities and milestones.
- Partner with Brand Marketing and R&D to define project scope and design requirements.
- Track project performance against key objectives, including:
- Timing
- Cost
- Quality
- Budget
- Lead formal weekly cross-functional project meetings.
- Establish communication processes that drive accountability and project execution.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, and potential roadblocks.
- Provide regular project status and risk updates to leadership.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality expectations.
- Clearly communicate project plans and expectations to team members, leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Identify issues within cross-functional teams and lead discussions to negotiate and implement effective resolutions.
- Maintain required project documentation throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with established stage-gate development processes.
- Drive cross-functional teams toward successful project completion and business objectives.
- Demonstrated project management experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Experience independently managing projects of varying complexity.
- Strong project planning and scheduling skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining detailed project schedules.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or a similar project scheduling tool.
- Strong understanding of critical-path project management.
- Experience managing project timing, cost, quality, and budget KPIs.
- Ability to lead structured project meetings and drive accountability across cross-functional teams.
- Experience identifying, tracking, communicating, and mitigating project risks.
- Strong issue-resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both project teams and senior leadership.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project dependencies.
- Experience with Business Continuity Plan (BCP) projects.
- Experience partnering with Brand Marketing and R&D teams.
- Experience working within a stage-gate development process.
- Background supporting product development, commercialization, or similar cross-functional initiatives.
- Experience developing standardized project timelines and processes.
- Strong experience presenting project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
