--- Project Description ---
The agency operates a network of clinics, hospitals and outpatient
facilities. The candidate will be responsible for managing projects
involving the update and/or implementation of new systems, software,
hardware, and data management. A key focus will be Guiding the
Electronic Health Record (EHR) project, a high-priority initiative for
OMH that demands strong project management guidance.

--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Use project management tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project
and Visio to delegate staff assignments, track project status and
determine time estimates.
2. Use project management methodology and documentation to manage
the project, maintain project plans, and facilitate all required project and
technical meetings including demonstrations of application development
progress.
3. Provide regular status reports detailing project metrics, progress, and
mitigation strategies underway to address concerns. These reports are
to be provided to the Department of Budget, OMH, and other inter-office
agencies as requested.
4. Partner with Business Analyst to ensure the business requirements are
elicited from Business owners and key stakeholders.
5. Ensure requirements are communicated, documented, addressed and
if approved, included in future project plans.
6. Coordinate the development of test plans and testing with the Project
Technical Lead.
7. Act as facilitator and primary project manager for multiple projects
related to the OMH Business efforts; including projects related to
implementation of applications or infrastructure changes. Report status
of current tasks and outstanding issues to supervisor.
8. Adhere to all NYS Project Management directives and processes.

--- Required Qualifications ---
• 48 Months Project Management experience leading projects with direct
stakeholder involvement at state government director level and above.
• 36 Months experience managing AI-related projects including engaging with
vendors such as Amazon and Google
• 36 Months experience managing projects with Application Programming
Interfaces (API), and other interfaces that send and receive data between
systems
• 24 Months experience facilitating requirement sessions,
• Bachelor's Degree
• Project Management Professional Certification
• 84 Months experience managing projects from initiation through closeout
maintaining project budgets, schedules, scope requirements, status reports,
communication plans, and quality standards
• 84 Months experience as a project manager working as a liaison between
Requesting Entity (i.e. Government Agency or Private Company) and Vendors
from requirements gathering through implementation.
• 60 Months experience working on projects that require working with
architecture and infrastructure team to comprehend technical requirements
for integration of central server and facility systems and related networking
