Project Manager – Exterior Construction
Bloomington, MN | Direct Hire | $80k - $90k + bonus opportunity
We’re partnering with a well-respected commercial construction firm to add a Project Manager to their team. This role is focused on exterior construction projects, managing multiple commercial jobs from planning through closeout. The ideal candidate brings hands-on project management experience, strong leadership skills, and a client-focused approach.
Project Manager Responsibilities
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Oversee exterior construction activities (roofing, siding, widows and gutters), ensuring quality, safety, and adherence to specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, architects, and suppliers to ensure projects stay on track.
- Monitor progress through site visits, addressing issues and implementing solutions proactively.
- Manage budgets, control costs, review invoices, and identify opportunities for efficiency.
- Lead project closeout activities, including punch lists, inspections, client handovers, and reporting lessons learned.
- Maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Project Manager Qualifications
- 2+ years of project management experience in exterior or commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of exterior construction methods, industry standard and materials.
- Familiarity with local building codes, permitting, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in project management software such as Procore or BuilderTrend.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass MVR screening; DOT Medical Card required or obtainable.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
