Description

The Project Manager - Federal/Commercial Interiors - NoVA will:

  • Manage multiple commercial construction projects from preconstruction turnover through closeout.
  • Oversee subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop, maintain, and update project schedules while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Lead RFI management, submittal tracking, change order administration, and project documentation.
  • Monitor project financial performance, including budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete analysis, and profitability reporting.
  • Collaborate with field teams to ensure schedule, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
  • Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate project activities across geographically dispersed job sites and travel as needed.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, typically ranging from $2.5M to $5M in value.
  • Support successful delivery of secure facilities, executive office buildouts, corporate interiors, conference centers, federal projects, and workplace renovations.

Profile

The Project Manager - Federal/Commercial Interiors - NoVA will have:

  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects independently.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, cost controls, and profitability management.
  • Experience building, updating, and managing construction schedules.
  • Knowledge of RFIs, submittals, change orders, subcontractor management, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, or comparable construction management software.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Experience with commercial interiors, tenant improvements, renovations, or secure facility projects preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
