Sundance Consultants seeks a Project Manager to lead Hazardous, Toxic, and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) projects, primarily for federal clients. This full-time, exempt role is responsible for cost estimating, work plan development, financial tracking, client management, and field/subcontractor oversight across site investigations, characterizations, long-term monitoring, and remediation.
What You''ll Do
Project Execution: Manage HTRW projects end-to-end in compliance with contract scope, schedule, and budget.
Planning & Compliance: Prepare and manage work plans, APP/SSHP, PMP, QCP, and UFP-QAPPs for PA/SI, RI/FS, and remediation tasks.
Financial & Procurement: Develop cost estimates, track job costs, and collaborate with Contracts and Operations on SOW development, bid evaluations, and status reporting.
Team & Subcontractor Oversight: Supervise technical staff and field subcontractors (drillers, geophysics, labs, surveyors) and review field and after-action reports.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison for federal clients, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience: B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related field; 10+ years of experience supporting federal/DoD clients (USACE, AFCEC, NAVFAC preferred).
Licensure & Certifications: Active PE or PG required; PMP certification preferred.
Safety & Regulatory Training: 40-hr HAZWOPER (with current 8-hr refresher & Supervisor training), 30-hr OSHA Construction Safety, USACE CQM, and working knowledge of EM 385-1-1.
Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations; proficiency in data analysis, budgeting, and report drafting.
Clearance & Logistics: Valid U.S. driver's license with clean record; ability to travel and obtain military base passes/security clearances; must pass background check and drug screen.
