The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy as a Project Manager - Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) in Mount Pleasant, PA, and play a key role in delivering complex, high‑value engineering projects that support a more sustainable and reliable energy future. In this dynamic role, you will lead cross‑functional teams, coordinate across global fabrication sites, and ensure every project meets customer expectations, contractual requirements, and financial targets.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Lead project teams, define guidelines, and allocate tasks across functions.

  • Provide constructive performance feedback for assigned team members.

  • Develop project plans covering scope, financials, scheduling, and risk.

  • Ensure project execution follows Hitachi Energy processes and best practices.

  • Track progress and optimize resources to meet milestones.

  • Coordinate product fabrication with internal partners and remote factories.

  • Manage financials, including invoicing, cost control, and cash flow.

  • Identify and act on project risks, opportunities, and lessons learned.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field preferred.

  • 4+ years of experience managing engineering or high‑voltage equipment projects; GIS experience is a plus.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

  • Demonstrated negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.

  • PMP certification preferred; ability to travel up to 30%.
