Description
Higher Education Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution of higher education capital projects from inception through occupancy.
- Manage relationships with university leadership, faculty, staff, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor project scope, budgets, schedules, and risks, implementing proactive solutions to keep initiatives on track and aligned with institutional goals.
- Oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities while ensuring compliance with university standards, regulatory requirements, and applicable building codes.
- Coordinate campus project activities to minimize disruption to academic operations, research functions, student services, and campus life while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Profile
Higher Education Project Manager - Successful Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years of capital project, facilities, construction, or project management experience within higher education, institutional, or complex commercial environments.
- Experience managing campus development, academic, research, student housing, or infrastructure projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of project delivery methods, construction practices, facility operations, and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to review and interpret project plans, specifications, contracts, budgets, and schedules.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with university leadership, faculty, staff, consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Job Offer
The Higher Education Project Manager will be offered:
- Base salary: $110,000-$135,000
- Bonus: $12,500-$20,000 annually (project/profit-based).
