Position: Project Manager

Job Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning and the execution of projects. The Project Manager duties include, but are not limited to planning, designing, executing, and monitoring every aspect of a specific project. The Project Manager should be able to handle multiple projects at a time, all while ensuring the successful completion of each project to the highest standard while staying within budget.

Employee Responsibilities (must be completed prior to being assigned any projects):
As the Project Manager, it is essential that you understand and implement the company's Strategic Plan for 2023-2028. You must have a clear understanding of how the set strategic goals and objectives can be achieved to promote the company vision. It is vital to comprehend how your position fits into the organization. You must have read and understood "The Leadership Challenge" by Kouzes & Posner. Within 90 days of employment, you need to understand and promote our ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and how it works. You should also assist in implementing other "Key Systems and Processes" within the company to operate on a high level.

Project Manager Responsibilities:
•Execute projects according to the project plan.
•Set up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and secured in accordance with the company's ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
•Monitor the progress of each project and make the necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the project to the highest quality.
•Establish a communication schedule to update the company's stakeholders, including all appropriate staff of the company, on the progress of the project.
•Review the quality of each project completed and make note of all changes that are necessary to ensure the highest quality of completion for future projects.
•Approve, monitor, and manage all budgeted project expenditures.
•Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and are at the required level of quality per ISO 9001:2015 QMS.
•Evaluate the outcomes (Quality management objectives) of each project as established during the planning phase.
•Promote quality and safety at all levels.
•Must have a complete understanding of the purchasing system prior to being assigned a project.
•Must have a complete understanding of all QHSE procedures prior to being assigned a project.
•Must ensure the company's personnel who are assigned to projects follow all QHSE procedures.
•Perform other related tasks as required.

Key Performance Indicators:
•Adhere (and make recommendations for improvement) to the Projects Department Procedures.
•Contribute to increasing client database and developing a targeted capture plan.
•Contribute to building a database of competitor capabilities.

•Increase presence (face-to-face) with front-line workers:
Attend at least one (1) management site visit to Port Arthur every month.
Visit at least one (1) vessel (offshore or dockside) every month.

•Increase participation with Sales Manager:
Attend at least one (1) client event per month with Sales Manager.
Solicit input from Sales Manager on majority of Proposals.
•Increase self-improvement training through at least one of following:
Attend two (2) Continuing education classes per year.
Attend two (2) Lunch and Learns per year.
Attend two (2) of the company's training classes.

Education/Skills:
•Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent preferred.
•Minimum of 5 years of successful project management experience.
•Strong maritime construction experience via contractor preferred.
•Ability to effectively communicate project details to senior management.
•Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Technical Requirements:
•Must be proficient and able to effectively work with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Must be able to work on Mac computers. Training is available upon request.
•Must understand document control and file sharing procedures, Dropbox, and other online tools.

Physical Requirements:
•Able to sit for extended periods while using office equipment.
•Able to attend meetings on the vessel's dockside (navigate stairs, ladders, etc.).
•Must be able to lift 50lbs.
•Must be able to climb stairs.
•Must possess and maintain the physical ability to safely perform the duties of the position.

Authorities:
•Stop Work Authority
•Authority to initiate corrective and preventive actions and report non-conformities.
•Authority to close out non-conformities with written report.
•Authority to initiate and administer the management of change (MOC) process.

Office Hours & Travel Requirements:
•Must be able to maintain office hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
•Must be able to travel to Port Arthur and other locations throughout United States.
•Must be able to respond to project needs on a 24/7 basis.
