Minimum of master's degree in related field. Minimum of five years' experience in professional management or equivalent. Minimum of three years' supervisory experience preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position
Plans, administers, and manages all program work for the Rural Postsecondary & Economic Development (RPED) grant and the Garrett Teacher Education Center. Oversees operations, supervises staff, manages partnerships, and ensures implementation. Collaborates with the Director on new programs and external funding to sustain and expand services.

Primary Responsibilities
Supervises project coordinator(s), staff, undergraduate student workers, graduate assistants, and contracted employees. Provides ongoing monitoring and develops and implements improvement plans. Conducts evaluations, sets goals, and oversees workflow. Oversees daily implementation of Rural Postsecondary & Economic Development (RPED) grant activities and services. Oversees materials, modules, assessments, and documentation. Identifies and implements operational improvements. Designs new programs and pursues external funding with the Garrett Teacher Education Center Director (grants/contracts). Supports proposal writing and documentation. Oversees data systems, accuracy, metrics, and reporting. Builds partnerships with Education Service Centers, Local Education Agencies, Texas Workforce Solutions - Vocational Rehabilitation, and other institutions of higher education. Represents the Garrett Teacher Education Center at events and during statewide and national initiatives. Monitors expenditures and supports fiscal compliance. Responsible for the development, evaluation, and effectiveness of the project. Performs other related duties as assigned.
