Project Manager I - IT

A major client of ours is looking for a Project Manager for their Midtown NYC office. This is a hybrid, contract opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitation & Ceremonies: Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure these events are productive, collaborative, and strictly time-boxed.
• Servant Leadership: Support the Scrum team by identifying, tracking, and actively removing blockers or impediments to their progress (technical, organizational, or interpersonal).
• Product Owner Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Owners to help manage and refine the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-defined, estimated, and ready for upcoming sprints.
• Agile Metrics & Reporting: Track and communicate team velocity, burndown/burnup charts, and other relevant metrics to help the team plan predictably and transparently communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Shield the Team: Protect the development team from external distractions, scope creep, and unvetted interruptions during active sprints.
• Continuous Improvement: Facilitate meaningful retrospectives that result in actionable, continuous improvement items for the subsequent sprint

Skills:

• Experience in the IT industry, including development work and customer interaction
• PMP Certification
• Cyber Security Knowledge
• 1-4 years of experience
