The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Project Manager II / Senior Project Manager for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Mettawa, IL (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote). Details for the position are as follows:

Job Description

  • Manage pharmaceutical advertising and marketing projects from initiation through delivery within a regulated agency environment.
  • Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource allocations across multiple workstreams.
  • Coordinate print, digital, and video marketing projects through agency workflow processes, including project intake, kickoff, review cycles, production, and archiving.
  • Facilitate project routing, approval workflows, and promotional material review processes to ensure timely execution.
  • Partner with account management and creative teams to manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project status, identify risks, resolve workflow bottlenecks, and maintain project documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to pharmaceutical promotional review processes, corporate branding standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Support agency operations through project tracking, workload management, resource coordination, and production oversight.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Equivalent professional experience may be considered for contract engagement.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of consecutive advertising agency experience supporting pharmaceutical clients (required).
  • Pharmaceutical marketing, advertising, and promotional campaign management.
  • Agency project management for print, digital, omnichannel, and video deliverables.
  • Veeva PromoMats review and approval workflow management.
  • Pharmaceutical promotional material development and regulatory/compliance review processes.
  • Project lifecycle management including project initiation, scoping, scheduling, execution, approvals, production, and archiving.
  • Timeline development, resource planning, workload tracking, and project status reporting.
  • Marketing operations, creative production workflows, and agency trafficking processes.
  • Budget tracking and project financial management within agency environments.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent marketing and advertising projects in high-volume settings.

Preferred Skills

  • 1–5 years of pharmaceutical advertising agency experience within regulated brand environments.
  • Experience supporting pharmaceutical commercial, marketing, or brand teams.
  • Digital marketing campaign execution, content production, and multichannel promotional programs.
  • Marketing asset management systems and promotional review platforms.
  • Creative services project management and agency operations experience.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical branding guidelines, promotional compliance standards, and content approval workflows.
