Project Manager – Industrial Installations
Houston, TX (Webster / Clear Lake) — also open to Hybrid | $85,000–$110,000 base + 15% bonus | Exceptional Benefits including Company Car or Car Allowance
ABOUT THE COMPANY
A leading global manufacturer of industrial lifting and vertical access equipment is looking to add to their installation operations team. Their equipment supports major construction, energy, and infrastructure projects around the world, and this role sits at the center of the project management team that delivers and commissions it for industrial clients across North America.
THE OPPORTUNITY
This is a high-volume, customer-facing Project Manager role with full lifecycle ownership. You will manage 20+ active projects simultaneously — each spanning design approval, factory manufacturing, and field installation — with total project durations of 9–12 months. You are the customer's primary point of contact from kickoff through closeout and the internal hub keeping design, manufacturing, and field teams aligned throughout.
The right person for this role has strong PM instincts, a track record of owning concurrent projects end-to-end, and the communication skills to hold complex client relationships together across a long project arc. You should be comfortable in a technical environment — able to read a print and talk shop with engineers — but your value here is in execution and relationship ownership, not technical expertise.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage 20+ concurrent projects across design approval, factory manufacturing, and field installation phases simultaneously
- Own the customer relationship from kickoff through final closeout — primary point of contact for the full 9–12 month project lifecycle
- Coordinate with internal design and CAD teams during the design phase to secure customer drawing approvals on schedule
- Manage customer communication and expectations throughout the factory manufacturing phase
- Oversee field installation — coordinating crews, subcontractors, and on-site activities through commissioning and closeout
- Own project budgets, change orders, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Manage contracts, project documentation, schedules, and status reporting
- Identify risks early; make independent decisions to resolve issues and keep projects moving
WHAT YOU BRING
- 2–5 years of Project Management experience owning multiple concurrent projects end-to-end as the primary project lead — not a supporting or specialist role
- Exceptional client-facing communication skills with concrete examples of managing complex customer relationships across a full project lifecycle
- Hands-on experience with project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and financial accountability
- Proven ability to work autonomously and make decisions independently — someone who sees the full picture and acts on it
- Comfortable in technically-oriented environments — able to read prints and interpret specs without being the engineer in the room
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business, Engineering, or related field — or equivalent demonstrated experience
- Located in or willing to relocate to the Webster, TX area; hybrid schedule available
BONUS POINTS
- Experience in industrial equipment installation, MEP contracting, specialty contracting, crane/rigging, manufacturing, or energy services
- Background that blends PM experience with some commercial or sales exposure
- Experience managing a design-build-install or multi-phase project lifecycle
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Bluebeam
- TWIC card or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
WHY APPLY
- Own your projects end-to-end — from first customer conversation through final installation, with real accountability and real autonomy
- High variety — 20+ concurrent projects across diverse industrial sectors means no two weeks look the same
- Less bureaucracy than a large GC — decisions move faster and your impact is visible
- Clear path to a leadership role managing a team of Project Managers within 4–5 years
- Stable, global organization with strong market position and long-term growth
