The responsibilities of a Project Manager:

• Manage multiple commercial interior construction projects simultaneously through all phases of delivery.
• Develop conceptual estimates, budgets, proposals, and bid packages.
• Create and manage subcontractor bid lists while overseeing the bid process.
• Participate in project interviews and support business development efforts.
• Establish project goals, milestones, and execution strategies to ensure successful delivery.
• Lead project meetings and prepare detailed monthly owner reports.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce project schedules and budgets.
• Monitor project financial performance and proactively address potential risks.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, ownership groups, subcontractors, and internal team members.
• Review, negotiate, issue, and execute change orders.
• Review and approve subcontractor and vendor payments.
• Oversee project quality, performance, and successful project closeout.
• Mentor and support Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners.
• Identify and pursue future project opportunities through networking and relationship development.

A successful Project Manager should have:

• 2+ years of experience managing interior office buildout projects as a Project Manager for a General Contractor.
• 3+ years of overall experience working for a commercial General Contractor.
• Proven experience leading projects independently from preconstruction through closeout.
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
• Knowledge of architectural, engineering, and construction principles.
• Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate construction drawings and project documents.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making abilities.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to manage project financials and budgets.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and clients.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore and Bluebeam preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
