The Opportunity
Health Behaviors Lab: The Health Behaviors Lab conducts community-engaged research to understand and improve the behaviors and environments that shape health and well-being. Our work focuses on nutrition, physical activity, and other health behaviors, with particular attention to children, families, caregivers, and the early childhood workforce. We partner with communities, practitioners, and other stakeholders to design, implement, and evaluate interventions that are responsive to real-world needs and can be translated into programs, practice, and policy. Our research draws on behavioral, intervention, and implementation science and uses a range of quantitative, qualitative, and technology-enabled methods. Across projects, our goal is to conduct research that is driven by communities, rigorous in its methods, and intended to create knowledge that others can use to improve health and reduce inequities.
