Project Manager IV or V

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Project Manager (level IV or V). This position will be located in Rolla, MO.

Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects within scope, on time, and within budget, while ensuring alignment with organizational goals. This role involves managing project teams, resources, and stakeholder communication to deliver successful outcomes. The Project Manager must proactively identify and mitigate risks, manage changes in scope, and ensure project deliverables meet quality standards. Additionally, they will track project performance, report on progress, and continuously drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Project Manager IV

• Assist in developing comprehensive project plans, timelines, and schedules by working closely with stakeholders to ensure all project requirements are clearly defined and documented, and risks are identified and proactively addressed. Manage small projects and portions of larger projects.
• Facilitate seamless communication between project teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to ensure alignment on project objectives, scope, and expectations, while keeping all parties informed of progress, issues, and changes in real-time.
• Track and manage project tasks, resources, and deliverables, taking ownership of specific aspects of the project and ensuring that deadlines are met, and quality standards are maintained through careful coordination and oversight.
• Monitor project progress and performance by preparing detailed status reports that track progress against the schedule, highlight potential risks or delays, and provide updates on mitigation strategies and any deviations from the plan.
• Organize and lead regular project meetings, documenting action items, ensuring follow-up on key decisions, and managing project documentation such as meeting minutes, status reports, and project documentation repositories.
• Identify and assess potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle, escalating concerns to senior management as needed, and supporting proactive risk mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions or delays in project delivery.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and process improvements, focusing on eliminating waste, reducing inefficiencies, and streamlining project workflows to ensure optimal use of resources and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional project activities across various departments, ensuring resource availability, managing lead times, and overseeing equipment and materials readiness, all while ensuring the project progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous process improvements within project workflows, systems, and applications, focusing on enhancing communication, collaboration, and overall project execution through innovation and better tools.
• Ensure strict adherence to change management and configuration management protocols, ensuring that all project changes are documented, reviewed, and approved in compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee and manage the financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting, ensuring that all project expenses align with the approved budget and that financial risks are promptly identified and addressed.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management, providing regular updates on project status, addressing concerns promptly, and ensuring that the project meets customer expectations for quality, timelines, and deliverables.
• Lead assigned projects, coordinating with vendors, project teams, and internal resources, ensuring alignment on project objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
• Manage mid-size projects and significant phases of complex projects, taking full responsibility for project scope, timelines, quality, and budget, ensuring all goals are met.
• Proactively identify risks and issues that could affect project outcomes, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Assign tasks, manage project teams, and coordinate efforts across functional areas, ensuring effective collaboration and regular communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and managing project budgets, monitoring expenditures to ensure projects stay within budgetary constraints while achieving desired outcomes.
• Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and client expectations, conducting regular reviews and feedback sessions to maintain high-quality output.
• Provide detailed project reports, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), timelines, quality metrics, and overall project progress for stakeholders.
• Stay updated on project management best practices and implement them to improve project control, execution, and efficiency across all initiatives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including charters, budgets, plans, status reports, risk management, and communication plans, ensuring consistency with project management standards.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and functional teams, facilitating smooth transitions to ongoing support, and ensuring necessary training and support documentation is in place after project completion.
• Lead complex projects requiring cross-functional collaboration, strategic planning, and stakeholder management, ensuring alignment with business objectives and successful project execution.
• Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans, proactively identifying potential risks and taking corrective actions to mitigate their impact on project timelines and outcomes.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders, engaging in high-level discussions and negotiations to ensure the project aligns with business priorities and client expectations.
• Manage project scope, including handling change requests and approvals, ensuring that changes are properly assessed and incorporated without derailing timelines or budgets.
• Establish and track project performance indicators, including schedule, budget, and quality, adjusting resource allocation and schedules as necessary to meet targets.
• Lead and mentor junior project managers or team members, providing guidance and ensuring alignment with project goals while supporting their professional development.
• Develop and present detailed executive reports, offering high-level summaries, key risks, and financial forecasts to keep stakeholders informed and ensure transparency.
• Provide leadership and direction to integrate project activities with other departments, ensuring seamless collaboration and successful implementation.
• Manage project resources assigned to competing priorities within the organization, ensuring optimal resource allocation and prioritization to meet project needs.
• Provide expert consultation and regular status updates to all stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
• Lead high-impact projects with significant business or operational outcomes, providing strategic direction and managing the project portfolio to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with senior executives, department heads, and external partners to coordinate complex project elements across teams or business units, ensuring seamless integration and alignment.
• Oversee project governance, ensuring that all activities comply with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and quality controls to maintain consistency and excellence.
• Provide leadership in identifying and managing project risks, escalating issues when necessary, and ensuring prompt resolution to keep projects on track and within scope.
• Oversee resource management across multiple projects, ensuring optimal allocation and utilization of both human and financial resources to meet project objectives.
• Coach and mentor junior and mid-level project managers, helping them develop leadership, technical, and project management skills to foster growth and competency.
• Manage organizational change processes for projects that impact business or operational workflows, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
• Successfully manage high-risk and high-visibility projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and meet all organizational and stakeholder expectations.
• Support and coordinate strategic planning efforts using structured problem-solving approaches to ensure continuous improvement and effective project execution.
• Ensure effective project management across all initiatives by integrating best practices, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvements across teams and departments.

Project Manager V:

• Same duties as Project Manager IV.

• Additional duties as Project Manager V:

• Lead and manage the strategic direction of large, high-stakes projects and complex portfolios that are critical to the organization's success and growth.

• Provide leadership and oversight for the entire project management function, developing frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to elevate the organization's project management maturity.

• Act as a key advisor to the corporate leadership teams and management, aligning project outcomes with business objectives and organizational strategy through high-level decision-making.

• Oversee cross-functional alignment on global or multi-regional projects, managing multiple teams, departments, and large-scale, international vendors to ensure project success.

• Drive innovation in project management practices by introducing new tools, methodologies, and trends to enhance the company's project delivery capabilities.

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior project managers, coaching them to improve their leadership, strategic thinking, and project execution skills.

• Represent the organization at industry conferences, workshops, and events, building the company's reputation and influence within the project management field.

• Ensure that all projects within the portfolio are executed effectively, efficiently, and align with the organization's long-term strategic goals.

• Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing opportunities to optimize project management processes and performance.

• Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and successful collaboration across all levels of the organization.

• Bachelor''s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related discipline and 6+ years related experience or

• Master's degree in related discipline and 4+ years related experience or

• An equivalent combination of education and related experience.

• Project Manager V:

• Bachelor''s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business, Computer Science or related discipline and 8+ years related experience or
