Project Manager IV

Location: San Diego, CA – 100% Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $90–$108/hour
Employment Type: 1-year W-2 Contract with potential to extend 

Position Overview

A leading Southern California utility company is seeking an experienced Project Manager IV to lead complex projects from initial planning through implementation. This role will oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and key milestones while partnering with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of successfully managing projects, strong change management and process improvement experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from definition and planning through implementation.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and status reports.
• Ensure projects meet established scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
• Lead and coordinate cross-functional project teams and resources.
• Establish clear communication with project teams, leadership, and key stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, resolve issues, and drive deliverables to completion.
• Lead change management activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare project documentation, reports, presentations, and budget updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• PMP certification required.
• 8+ years of project management experience.
• Proven experience successfully managing complex projects from initiation through completion.
• Strong background in change management and process improvement.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Visio, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work effectively within cross-functional environments.

Additional Details

This position is 100% onsite in San Diego, CA, Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM–3:00 PM. The interview process will consist of two panel-style interview rounds. This is a long-term contract opportunity and is not expected to convert to a permanent position. Equipment will be provided.
