Black Hills Special Services Cooperative is seeking a dedicated Project Manager. The Project Manager will serve as a key point of coordination for project implementation, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, technical assistance, progress monitoring, reporting, and communication activities that advance the project priorities. This position supports efforts to strengthen rural healthcare.Black Hills Special Services Cooperative (BHSSC) is a public entity that is an educational cooperative under the State of South Dakota. BHSSC is comprised of five divisions dedicated to aiding school districts, individuals, and the communities. Wage-$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 based on experienceJob Type-Full-time, ExemptWork Location-Hybrid work opportunityCandidates should be located in Rapid City, Pierre, or Sioux FallsJob Description-Lead project management and coordination by overseeing workplans, timelines, deliverables, reporting requirements, meetings, and day-to-day implementation to ensure successful project execution.Build and maintain collaborative partnerships by serving as the primary liaison among healthcare organizations, EMS agencies, educational institutions, workforce organizations, tribal partners, funded entities, and community stakeholders.Support strategic initiatives focused on rural healthcare workforce development, EMS sustainability, access to care, and system transformation through planning, stakeholder engagement, technical assistance, and program development.Monitor project performance and continuous improvement by tracking milestones, deliverables, outcomes, performance measures, data collection, reporting, and evaluation activities while identifying opportunities for improvement.Develop communications and stakeholder resources including reports, presentations, briefing materials, meeting documentation, recommendations, and technical assistance to promote project success and partner engagement.Manage multiple priorities and ensure compliance by maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating meetings and trainings, meeting deadlines, adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements, and performing additional duties as assigned.Job Qualifications-Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, business, education, social sciences, or a related field required (master's preferred), with at least five years of experience in project management, healthcare, public health, workforce development, grant-funded programs, or stakeholder engagement.Ability to manage complex, multi-partner projects by coordinating timelines, deliverables, reporting requirements, competing priorities, and project outcomes.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience facilitating meetings, engaging stakeholders, providing technical assistance, building collaborative relationships, and presenting information to diverse audiences.Knowledge of South Dakota healthcare, public health, EMS, workforce, education, and community systems, with experience working with rural, tribal, frontier, underserved, or minority populations preferred.Ability to develop workplans, prepare reports and presentations, analyze data, monitor performance, interpret policies and grant requirements, solve problems, and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.Proficient in Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration platforms, with experience using project management, survey, reporting, or dashboard tools; able to maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable regulations.Valid South Dakota driver's license or reliable transportation for statewide travel; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and successfully complete required screenings or assessments.Benefits-Health, Dental, and Life InsuranceHealth Savings Account OptionsSouth Dakota RetirementSick LeaveCompany Website-Bhssc.orgFor additional questions regarding this position, please contact Brooke Lusk, 605-494-3602 or blusk@bhssc.org.
