Project Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Manager in Juno Beach, FL. Summary: The Project Manager is responsible for leading advanced technical, financial, and regulatory planning for utility scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from early development through readiness. The role requires the application of advanced engineering, economic, and project management principles to optimize project scope, risk allocation, and financial feasibility across highly complex, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. Responsibilities:

• Lead advanced planning and optimization for utility scale BESS projects, integrating engineering design, financial modeling, procurement strategy, and regulatory constraints to support executive investment decisions
• Manage critical coordination of highly matrixed project development teams to ensure resources are focused on the right activities to meet project schedules
• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, cultural, land acquisition, interconnection, and other project variables to ensure comprehensive project development
• Develop and optimize the project's technical scope and variables to improve both technical and financial feasibility
• Support origination and development teams with PPA and GIA negotiations, as well as jurisdictional requirements
• Coordinate engineering, estimating, and procurement needs to support the development of financial models and project designs
• Actively seek out and leverage market data to ensure the financial model is robust
• Present financial models to respective business units and manage them through executive budget approvals
• Competitively source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for critical services, including geotechnical, survey, engineering, and EPC/PC services
• Represent the company's interests on assigned projects and engage in various software applications to support activities, manage critical data, and report on key indicators

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on engineering, or economics
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent project management, communication, financial, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Technical experience with renewable energy projects, particularly electricity markets, renewables, and battery projects, is a plus
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Six Sigma experience are highly desired
