Job Description
LaBella is looking for a Civil Engineer who both wants to advance both personally and professionally while finding solutions to complex site issues in Frederick, MD. Our Land Development and Renewable Energy teams are looking for a creative individual who desires collaborating on projects from master planning through final construction close out. Working in a fast-paced environment and creating relationships, both with our internal teams as well as with our client partners, are key functions of the daily responsibilities. The individual is subject to working on a variety of project types, including residential complexes, commercial developments, industrial facilities, renewable energy power plants, athletic field design, education improvements, and more.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, developing, coordinating, directing, and managing a variety of land development projects and portfolios.
- Preparing various types of related reports and studies and securing local approvals and permits for projects.
- Contribute to marketing of the firm and development of new business by initiating relationships with new clients, maintaining relationships with current clients, and key individuals of other organizations and companies.
- Developing and evaluating plans and criteria for land development projects as well as planning and coordinating activities to be carried out by others including in-house engineers, designers, and surveyors and outside specialty consultants.
- Develop an understanding of local/state jurisdictional requirements for land development and construction permits, applications and approvals.
- Represent clients and the firm during public hearings, community engagement meetings, etc.
- Assist in the training of junior staff in sound engineering practices and technical requirements necessary for licensure.
