Seeking for a Project Manager to lead large strategic projects and programs with high visibility at the Department Executive level. This role requires managing complex projects with diverse stakeholders, vendor participation, and significant integration with other systems. Projects typically have 50 or more team members and require communication at the Executive level. The Project Manager will ensure consistency with the project management methodology, perform long-term release planning, and regularly interact with the project management teams for status updates on budget, quality, and schedule.
Job Responsibilities:
Engage with stakeholders and vendors, dedicating 15–20% of time to executive-level communication.
Establish and monitor project controlling methods to manage project cost, quality, or schedule changes.
Provide planning, staffing, and reporting to achieve successful project completion according to sponsor goals.
Direct and coordinate daily activities, tasks, and deliverables required from the project team.
Perform miscellaneous functions to contribute to overall operations and objectives.
Required Qualifications:
5 years of experience in team environments within matrix organizations.
5 years of experience resolving complex conflicts and competing requirements.
5 years of experience applying Project Management principles and best practices.
5 years of experience with system development methodologies.
5 years of experience communicating stakeholder needs effectively.
5 years of experience analyzing data and developing actionable solutions.
5 years of experience communicating across teams and building consensus.
5 years of experience managing stakeholder relationships and resolving issues.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a federal/state/government or public sector environment.
Experience in multiple relevant roles (e.g., Project Manager, Program Manager).
