Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager Project Lead to manage multiple technology and agency-wide initiatives throughout their complete project lifecycle. The successful candidate will oversee projects from solicitation and vendor selection through contract negotiation, acquisition, implementation, migration, archival, and retirement of legacy applications.
This role requires strong project management expertise across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, project sponsors, and senior professionals. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities / Daily DutiesPlan, organize, and manage project management activities for organization-wide initiatives.
Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
Establish and control project scope, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and required tasks.
Apply both traditional Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies.
Promote adherence to project management best practices and established methodologies.
Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Plan and facilitate project status meetings, review meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
Prepare project status reports and provide regular updates to project sponsors and stakeholders.
Work effectively with diverse groups of professionals across different organizational levels.
Develop, maintain, and manage project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare documentation supporting new services and project initiatives.
Identify potential project issues and risks proactively.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
Facilitate problem resolution and ensure timely resolution of project issues.
Support continuous process improvement related to project delivery, methodologies, and processes.
Manage projects involving technology solution implementation, business continuity, contract administration, and related organizational initiatives.
Support technology acquisition, implementation, migration, archival, and sunset activities for legacy applications.
5+ years of experience in IT Project Management.
3+ years of experience managing projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
3+ years of experience in strategic planning and roadmap development.
3+ years of experience in risk management.
3+ years of experience in resource management.
3+ years of experience in change management.
3+ years of experience in budget planning.
Strong project planning, execution, scheduling, and delivery skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders.
Strong presentation, facilitation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and organized.
