    Summary:

    The Project Manager- Learning Systems serves as a key operational, technical, and creative resource supporting nursing education delivered through the health system's enterprise learning platforms. This role supports system wide nursing programs and manages nursing related needs associated with learning programs, tools, and learning infrastructure including the configuration, delivery and maintenance of education. The Project manager collaborates with nursing departments across all health system entities and serves as a centralized point of coordination for education requests submitted by internal stakeholders.

    The role manages the intake, planning, coordination, execution, and ongoing monitoring of nursing education initiatives, ensuring content is accurate, standardized, visually polished, and aligned with system priorities and Penn Medicine branding standard. In partnership with nursing leaders, educators, and project teams, the NPD PM develops detailed project plans that define scope, actions, accountable parties, deliverables, timelines, and associated communication and training activities. This role is critical to the planning, delivery, tracking, and evaluation of tailored educational offerings for learners with varying levels of experience in nursing. The Project Manager works within the Corporate Department of Nursing Professional Development and reports directly to the Director of Program Operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design, build, and maintain e-learning courses using instructional design software and Penn Medicine approved branding principles. Partners directly with nursing clients and subject matter experts to develop high quality, learner centered educational content. Manages third-party content transfer processes, platform loading, and external content linking.
    • Loads courses, creates curriculum and programs within the learning management systems. Supports the publishing, updating, reporting, and monitoring of course completion and participation data with learning management systems, and for providing operational insights to support continuous improvement of nursing education programs.
    • Develops comprehensive project plans that outline actions, accountable parties, deliverables, timelines, and required communication and training activities. Makes recommendations to optimize the system and content, recommends delivery methods that enhance learner experience.
    • Provides departmental orientation and support to new and existing users as needed based on their roles. Provides training to next level nursing administrators.
    • Support system wide programs under the direction of the Director of Program Operations and manage nursing related needs associated with learning programs and learning infrastructure.
    • Plan and conduct formal and individualized educational sessions for learners with varying experience levels, including end users, managers, administrators, and instructors, and assess learner progress to ensure learning needs are met.
    • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
    • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of Project Management Experience (Required)
    • 2+ years of experience in Learning Management Systems, and design and publishing platforms such as Articulate 360 Rise. (Preferred)

    Certifications:

    • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) (Preferred)
