We are seeking an experienced Estimator specializing in highway lighting and traffic signalization projects. This position will prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for electrical infrastructure projects while working closely with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs, labor estimates, material pricing, and complete project estimates.
• Solicit, organize, and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Maintain accurate estimating documentation, pricing, bid tabs, and historical cost information.
• Participate in bid reviews, post-bid analysis, project handoffs, and owner meetings.
• Visit project sites to evaluate conditions, construction methods, sequencing, and potential cost impacts.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience with highway lighting, traffic signals, or related electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical construction, estimating techniques, takeoffs, pricing, and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Understanding of project sequencing, phasing, scheduling, labor, materials, and construction methods.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with HCSS HeavyBid and Microsoft 365 preferred.

Preferred Background

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Experience estimating DOT, municipal, highway, roadway, or transportation electrical projects.
• Knowledge of highway lighting, traffic signalization, ITS, underground electrical, and associated infrastructure is highly desirable.
