    Job Description

    The LNA Training Hub Coordinator works at a high level to establish and maintain an ecosystem of LNA training opportunities throughout the State of Vermont. Under the direction of the Dean of Academic Affairs or designee, this position will oversee the creation and maintenance of an LNA training hub and associated programming centered at the Community College of Vermont. This position will develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across healthcare, education, government, and non-profit organizations to positively impact workforce development goals and opportunities for Vermonters.

    This is a one-year grant funded position with the possibility of extension pending continued funding. This position can be based at any CCV location. This position can be located at any CCV academic center in Vermont.

    Essential Functions

    • Work closely with community constituencies and representatives of healthcare, educational, governmental, and non-profit organizations to identify and prioritize educational and training needs for licensed nursing assistants.
    • Manage the establishment of a Vermont LNA Training Hub at the Community College of Vermont.
    • Establish, convene, facilitate, and support the Vermont LNA Training Hub Advisory Committee, including agenda development, stakeholder engagement, implementation of committee recommendations, and ongoing coordination.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive project plan in response to the grant-funded initiative.
    • Monitor grant performance measures, prepare required reports, evaluate project outcomes, and ensure compliance with grant objectives and implementation timelines.
    • Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of the LNA Training Hub.
    • Collaborate with both internal and external partners to create and deliver LNA training.
    • Plan and facilitate regional healthcare workforce summits to identify workforce needs, training opportunities, best practices, and collaborative solutions for strengthening Vermont's LNA workforce
    • Partner with CCV academic and workforce staff on initiatives to ensure educational needs of students are met.
    • Research and assist in developing plans for expanding CCV’s workforce presence in the field of nursing.
    • Conduct statewide inventories, gap analyses, and needs assessments of LNA training programs, funding models, best-practice curricula, and workforce development opportunities.
    • Serve as an ambassador of CCV in interactions with current and potential partners.
    • Develop and expand professional development and continuing education opportunities for LNAs and LNA trainers statewide.
    • Oversee development of the centralized statewide LNA Training Hub website, searchable training database, regional skills laboratories, and lending library of specialized training equipment in collaboration with internal and external partners.
    • Identify and explore pathways for hybrid LNA training expansion and state approval; develop a long-term sustainability plan for Hub activities.

    Supervisory Responsibility: Functional supervision of LNA Navigator

    Minimum qualifications (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

    Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years’ experience coordinating complex projects and building relationships across stakeholder groups. Experience within healthcare, particularly long-term care, preferred.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate workforce education programs.
    • Knowledge of LNA training program requirements.
    • Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to identify and respond to issues, concerns, and needs with regard to workforce programs.
    • Ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
    • Knowledge of applicable policies, procedures, goals, and objectives related to workforce projects.
    • Superior multi-tasking skills; detail orientated with a big picture perspective.
    • Ability to understand and apply large amounts of information quickly.
    • Ability to meet schedules and deadlines.
    • Knowledge of grant administration, reporting, and program evaluation.
    • Ability to facilitate statewide advisory committees and stakeholder groups.
    • Knowledge of healthcare workforce development and partnership building.
    • Ability to lead multiple concurrent statewide initiatives.

    Physical Requirements: Duties performed causes light fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties as a result of repetitive motion and/or long periods of standing or sitting. Duties require little physical effort in work with light to moderate (up to 25lbs) easy-to-handle materials.

    Working Conditions: Job is performed in general office or comparable working area with many and frequent distractions such as noise and interruptions. Work schedule may vary during high volume periods.

    Budgeted Wage for this Position:

    Position budgeted at $58,969 per year. This is a one-year grant funded position with the possibility of extension pending continued funding.
