Piper Companies is seeking a Project Manager - Loan Portfolio & Vendor Transition to support a leading financial services organization. The Project Manager will lead cross-functional initiatives focused on servicer transitions, operational readiness, and portfolio servicing within a highly regulated environment. This position will be hybrid in McLean, VA (3 days per week onsite).
Responsibilities of the Project Manager - Loan Portfolio & Vendor Transition include:
- Lead end-to-end servicer transitions including onboarding, migration, and stabilization
- Manage project plans, timelines, risks, and cross-functional dependencies
- Coordinate stakeholders across Operations, IT, Compliance, Legal, and Vendor teams
- Support data migration, system readiness, and operational handoffs
- Drive process improvements, controls remediation, and operational readiness initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Provide status reporting and executive-level updates
Qualifications of the Project Manager - Loan Portfolio & Vendor Transitio include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5+ years of project management experience within financial services or a regulated environment
- Experience managing complex transitions such as servicer/vendor onboarding or operational migrations
- Strong experience with data migration, operational handoffs, and stabilization efforts
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
- Strong risk management, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to present to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- PMP, Lean Six Sigma (Yellow or Green Belt), or similar certification
- Experience supporting audits, regulatory exams, or third-party risk reviews
- Familiarity with collections, recoveries, loan servicing, or consumer finance operations
Compensation for the Project Manager - Loan Portfolio & Vendor Transition includes:
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 annually (based on experience)
