We are willing to provide some relocation assistance, for a move to Rapid City. We are looking for someone who enjoys working as a team, has a good attitude and a willingness to work hard. This fast-paced job gives you the opportunity to be on the front end of projects to help identify problems before construction begins.Essential Tasks for a Project Manager include:Estimating projects for all three trades (Plumbing, Pipefitting, and Sheetmetal)Teaching and partnering and mentoring Assistant Project Managers in change order estimatingProactively assist the MMC team with completing estimatesManaging LaborForecasting labor hoursScheduling laborCommunicating and developing positive relationships with the Foremen and CrewSafetyPerform safety audits to ensure a safe work environmentCommunicate safety concerns with Foremen and CrewProactively plan for a safe job site from beginning of the project to the endOwn the relationship with the customer/owner/general contractor that they have establishedActively seek and develop new business relationshipsLead and participate in proposal generation and presentationTechnical KnowledgeApply a well-rounded mechanical system knowledge to a variety of projectsApply knowledge of building codes and standards to deliver value for customersOperational ExcellenceDemonstrate leadership through continuous improvement of self and MMC processesFollow Project Management Process MapDeliver projects that meet or exceed individual gross margin planMentor developing Project Managers and Assistant Project ManagersEducationBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent experienceRequired Demonstrated Experience3-5+years of progressive project management experience in mechanical contracting specializing in plumbing, piping, and sheet metalSuccess building and maintaining client relationshipsA thorough understanding of construction and mechanical contractor industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activitiesExperience directing/guiding others using innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performanceExperience preparing estimates in plumbing, piping, and sheet metal projectsDemonstrable success developing and maintaining customer relationshipsSolid skillset using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and the ability to gain proficiency in new software systemsCompetitive salary and PTO packageProfit SharingEmployee Stock Purchase Plan(ESPP)Health, Dental and Vision InsuranceTessiers is a division of APi Group, Inc.
