Lead Public Construction Project Manager

Lead the execution of a large-scale ground-up public construction project located in Worcester, MA. Manage all project operations from the on-site project office throughout the duration of the project. Partner closely with the Superintendent to ensure project milestones, budgets, schedules, quality standards, and safety goals are achieved. Oversee subcontractor coordination, procurement activities, project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders. Maintain strong communication with owners, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders. Mentor and oversee Assistant Project Managers and support staff assigned to the project. Utilize Procore to manage documentation, reporting, and project controls. Report directly to senior operations leadership and provide regular updates on project performance. Ensure compliance with all public-sector requirements, contract documents, and company standards. Support future public construction projects throughout Massachusetts upon completion of the assignment.

The Successful Applicant

Must-Have Qualifications:

• 10+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction.
• Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor management.
• Experience leading complex projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Proficiency with Procore.
• Ability to work full-time on-site in Worcester, MA.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Public construction experience, including municipal, state, federal, or educational projects.
• Experience managing projects valued at $40M+.
• Background overseeing large, multi-year construction projects.
• Experience mentoring junior project management staff.
