Job Description

A Day in the Life of a Project ManagerAs a Project Manager, you'll start your day by reviewing active projects, priorities, budgets, and schedules to ensure work is progressing toward successful and profitable completion. You'll manage projects valued over $100K within a single business line, overseeing daily activities and coordinating teams, resources, and timelines. You'll evaluate scopes of work, monitor project costs, and ensure quality standards are consistently met while keeping customers and stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle.Throughout the day, you'll work closely with field teams, customers, subcontractors, and internal partners to address challenges and keep projects moving forward. You'll review Xactimate scopes, evaluate project requirements, and use your knowledge of local, state, and federal codes and inspection requirements to ensure work is completed correctly and in compliance with applicable standards. When unexpected issues arise, you'll use your problem-solving skills to develop solutions while balancing scope, budget, schedule, quality, and customer expectations.Safety will be a priority in everything you do. You'll ensure delivery teams follow safe work practices and applicable First Onsite and legislative safety requirements, while making sure appropriately trained and deployed trades have the resources they need to perform their work safely. You'll communicate project expectations, monitor progress, and hold teams accountable for delivering quality results. Every day, your leadership will bring together people, planning, technical expertise, and financial oversight to deliver successful projects that meet customer needs and support the profitability of First Onsite.Responsibilities:Manage projects from start to finish, including full oversight and quality controlDevelop and maintain project schedules, timelines, and budgetsReview, approve, and manage subcontractor proposals, scopes, and change ordersMaintain all project documentation: daily logs, reports, inventories, and recordsCoordinate with leadership on scope, buy-outs, and reservesPerform billing reviews, audits, and invoicingMonitor project risks and proactively address schedule or budget issuesRespond to on-call needs and manage technician/subcontractor availability, 24/7Fill in as needed, including hands-on tasks and additional responsibilitiesExperience & Education:2+ years as Assistant Project ManagerSkilled in construction drawings, specs, and take-offsSupervised 2+ Area Wide EventsExperience in DR or GCHigh school diploma or equivalent7+ current industry certificationsValid driver's licenseFirst Onsite provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
